The o2 website http://www.o2.co.uk/services/messaging/sendfreetext/faqs gives you 10 free texts a month to text from their site. You have to register your current mobile number with them though, but it doesn’t appear to matter what network you are on. Once you’re registered, you get the 10 free texts to use from the website.
